I'm sure Florida State lineman Brady Scott will never forget last Saturday night. A lot of people might think it's because of his team's unexpected loss to Jacksonville State after a long and close battle which left the Seminoles at 17-20 at the end of the 4th quarter, but that would not be the whole truth.
Scott proposed to his girlfriend on the field after the loss while the Jacksonville team and fans were still celebrating in the background. He's received a lot of criticism for it (which he is taking in stride) but I think it shows the ultimate example of true sportsmanship. It's a game and while it's pretty much his whole life right now, it won't be forever. He didn't let this upset on the field rule his emotions and ruin his big plans for after the game.
This is a young man with a good head on his shoulders, who values the relationships in his life and has his eyes on the future. Turns out he's got a bit of a sense of humor too. Well done Brady and good luck wedding planning. I'd rather play 4 quarters against any college team than plan a wedding again.
