Shelter Information In The Tallahassee Area

Shelters information:

-Seven Leon County shelters will be open starting at 6pm on Wednesday September 25th. Residents are encouraged to bring essential supplies for themselves and pets.

  • Chiles High School, 7200 Lawton Chiles Lane
  • Lincoln High School, 3838 Trojan Trail
  • Godby High School, 1717 W. Tharpe Street
  • Leon High School, 550 E. Tennessee Street
  • SAIL High School, 2006 Jackson Bluff Road
  • Fort Braden School, 15100 Blountstown Hwy
  • Fairview Middle School, 3415 Zillah Street

-Emergency shelters in Gadsden County will be available at Gadsden County High School and West Gadsden Middle School for residents starting at 4 p.m Wednesday September 25th. Any residents with special needs are advised to go to the Gadsden high school shelter. This shelter is also allowing crated pets with proof of vaccination.

-Havana: Harvey’s Supermarket, 102 1st Avenue East

-Midway: Midway City Hall, 50 Martin Luther King Blvd

-Quincy:

  • Piggly Wiggly, 18680 Blue Star Highway(General)
  • Rose’s and Citi Trends Parking Lot, 1323 West Crawford Street
  • CRMC Gadsden Campus (Hospital), 23186 Blue Star Highway

-Greensboro

  • Sawdust Community Park, 3355 Providence Road
  • Greensboro Elementary School, 559 Greensboro Highway

-Gretna

  • Gretna City Hall, 14615 Main Street
  • Oak Grove Church, 3510 Atwater Road

-Chattahoochee: Chattahoochee Elementary School, 18680 Blue Star Highway (General)

-A shelter is expected to open in Madison County Thursday at 10 a.m. Thursday at Madison County Central School, located at 2093 US 90 West. Residents are encouraged to bring items like cots or air mattresses. MREs will be served at this location for the first 48-72 hours.
