Mandatory Evacuation Zones

It's important for you to know if you live an evacuation zone or a flood prone area so you can be prepared for Hurricane Helene or any other national disaster that may impact your community.

Evacuations have already been announced for some of counties in the Big Bend:

Leon County

A mandatory evacuation is in effect for residents living in mobile and manufactured homes.

Taylor County

A countywide mandatory evacuation effective immediately with a curfew from sunrise to sunset.

Franklin County

The county is under a mandatory countywide evacuation.

Wakulla County

A countywide mandatory evacuation has been issued.

Lafayette County

A mandatory evacuation order will go into effect to all residents living in mobile homes, travel trailers, structurally compromised housing and low lying areas.

Madison County

A mandatory evacuation is in effect for residents living in mobile homes, RV’s, compromised structures and flood-prone areas.

Jefferson County

A mandatory evacuation is in effect for those near the coast and residents living in mobile homes, flood prone areas & RVs.

Suwannee County

A mandatory evacuation is in effect for residents living in mobile homes, substandard housing, RVs, travel trailers and flood-prone areas.

Gadsden County

A mandatory evacuation is in effect for residents living in flood-prone areas, unsecured structures, and mobile/manufactured homes.
