As a football player for Georgetown University, Ty Williams learned the importance of strength and perseverance. Without that strength and perseverance, he may have never been able to walk across the stage to receive his diploma last weekend.
In 2015, Williams suffered an injury in a game which left him paralyzed and bound to a wheelchair. But he never gave up and always knew he would someday be able to walk again.
That day came last Saturday when, with a little help of a walker, the linebacker stood up from his wheelchair and walked to receive his diploma and a big from from the university's president while the audience cheered.
