This is cool! Grandparents who regularly babysit their grandchildren tend to have increased cognitive functions and a lower risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer’s.
The North American Menopause Society conducted a study that followed 120 grandparents. They found that grandmothers who babysat one day per week scored higher on a range of cognitive tests.
