Abby Involved in a Car Accident

Another car accident on The Bobby Bones Show... this time it was Abby.

Abby explains that she was driving down a road with two lanes in each direction and was traveling in the left lane. A driver exiting a shopping center pulled directly into her lane despite having a stop sign and struck her car from the side. Abby says the impact felt like a strong hit from the side rather than a simple sideswipe. When asked if she was hurt, she said her hip and neck began hurting. She explains that she was on her way to the gym after the accident, but once she got on the treadmill, she realized she could not continue. She plans to go to the chiropractor for a better diagnosis.

The accident was the other driver’s fault. After pulling over, Abby approached the driver to check if she was okay. The driver was an older woman and she asked Abby who was at fault. Abby told her that she had run into Abby’s car. The woman explained she needed to leave because her husband was having eye surgery and she had to pick him up. Abby allowed her to leave, but she did call the police before she had left hoping they would arrive shortly. However, the woman left before they made it. Abby did collect the other driver’s information, including taking photos of the scene, license plate, driver’s license, and insurance details. She confirms she has all necessary documentation.

When asked about the damage to her car, Abby says the entire side was affected, including the bumper area above the tire and the side door. The accident has already made her nervous about driving, especially when passing shopping centers, because she worries about cars pulling out unexpectedly. She says she filed a report online and believes the other driver is doing the same. A police officer later arrived and told Abby there was nothing he could do since the other driver had already left. The officer advised Abby to clearly state in her report that the other driver failed to yield the right of way.

Abby confirms there were no witnesses, even though many cars were nearby at the time of the accident.
