Carly Pearce marked a full circle moment in her hometown.

Now a Grammy-winning country star, Pearce returned to her hometown in Kentucky and revisited the stage where she won her first talent show. Pearce shared a few photos from her hometown visit on Instagram on Monday (August 11), plus a throwback photo of herself as a fourth grader on stage at her elementary school. Since then, Pearce has helped the school replace the curtains at the place “where all my dreams started.” She wrote in her caption:

“I won my first talent show in the fourth grade on this stage! I got to go back to my hometown this week and reminisce on many moments from middle school and hug teachers that now are influencing the next generation in the same halls that I went to. Last year my elementary school contacted me because they were in need of new curtains for their gymnasium, and I got to purchase them and see them for the first time. It was such a joy to go back and remember where all my dreams started 🥹”

Pearce has previously marked significant milestones when she returned to Kentucky. In 2021, she shared photos with the signs on the outskirts of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, reading “Welcome to Taylor Mill, hometown of country music star Carly Pearce.”

“I convinced my parents at 16 to drop out of high school & leave my home town,” Pearce said at that time. “Today, that same home town honored me with “Carly Pearce Day,” a key to the city, the title of “Kentucky Colonel” and 2 of these signs at both ends of the town. I truly have no words. This town made me who I am…. I will always 🤍 you, Taylor Mill."
