Award-winning country artist Carly Pearce is predicting one of the next superstars of the genre.
Peace shared a fan-recorded TikTok on her Instagram story on Thursday morning (November 7). The fan club account hailed Kameron Marlowe “the only person who can sing this song as good as Chris Stapleton,” as Marlowe covered “Fire Away” during a recent performance in Nashville, Tennessee. That TikTok was originally shared in late October.
“Okay this blew my mind. How is this voice not one of the superstars of country music?” Pearce, who collaborated with Stapleton on “we don’t fight anymore,” wrote as she shared the clip on her Instagram story. She commented on the fan account’s video on TikTok on Wednesday (November 6): “Truly one of the best male singers I’ve heard in the last 10+ years & SO underrated.”
Stapleton released “Fire Away” on Traveller, his 14-track record that released in 2015. That album also included “Tennessee Whiskey,” “Parachute,” “Nobody To Blame,” and more. Marlowe’s latest full-length project is Keepin’ The Lights On, a 16-track collection that arrived earlier this year. He told iHeartCountry on the red carpet at the ACM Awards that “this has been a long time (in the) making. …this is what I feel like I’m meant to do.”
