Hunter Hayes delivered a reimagined rendition of a track that first appeared on one of his studio albums 10 years ago.

Hayes, 33, said it was “so therapeutic” to revisit “Still Fallin,” one of 14 tracks on his second full-length studio record, Storyline, in 2014. The refreshed version is part of Hayes’ upcoming EP, Lost & Found, which started as “just an exercise” for the singer-songwriter. Hayes previously told iHeartCountry that “it was really beautiful for me, personally, [to ‘secretly’ reimagine previously-released songs], and I felt like I wanted to share it. And so, I’m rereleasing some reimagined songs from my past in kind of a — in a way, to show how they’ve grown with me.” The new version of “Still Fallin” arrives as Hayes sets his focus on his next album, Evergreen.

“It was so therapeutic to return to this song and have a new conversation with it,” Hayes said as he debuted the new version of “Still Fallin.” “Over the years it’s been many things but going into Evergreen it has a new life and I am so grateful for this song, for all of you who have connected with it already and for a new chapter to re-imagine it! I can’t wait to hear what you think of the update!”

Hayes caught up with iHeartCountry last month on the red carpet at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, hosted at the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. He said at that time that “the process is trippy,” and “feels like therapy” to revisit old music and select songs to record on the reimagined EP. To Hayes, it’s “like you’re having a conversation with your younger self.”

Lost & Found will arrive on November 15. Hayes has not announced Evergreen’s release date as of publication time on Friday (October 18); however, he said the project “is my life right now. I’m living and breathing it, and I cannot wait to share it.”
