How Zac Brown Band Aims To Embark On 'A Much-Needed Escape'

Zac Brown Band’s newest project aims to serve as a source of “much-needed escape” and freedom.

No Wake Zone made its debut on Friday (September 20), “capturing the essence of summertime,” per a press release issued to announce the EP’s arrival. The collection includes previously-released — and award-nominated — tracks like “Tie Up” and “Pirates & Parrots” featuring Mac McAnally, a heartfelt tribute to late music legend Jimmy Buffett, who died last year. He was 76. No Wake Zone also features a rendition of “I Lost It” by Lucinda Williams and more.

No Wake Zone is all about capturing the essence of relaxation and freedom,” frontman Zac Brown said in the release. “We hope this EP provides our fans with a much-needed escape and a chance to unwind.”

No Wake Zone is Zac Brown Band’s first project to release since From The Road, Vol. 1: Covers in November 2023. The 13-track album is made up of live renditions of genre-spanning hits that Zac Brown Band has performed over the years, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Margaritaville” and “It’s A Great Day To be Alive,” among others. Zac Brown Band’s latest full-length album is The Comeback, which released as a 15-track record in October 2021 and expanded as a deluxe album in September 2022. the band will bring career-spanning hits to the stage in upcoming shows, including the newly-announced New Year’s Eve performance in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets will be available on Friday, September 27 ay 10 a.m. ET.
