Luke Bryan’s newest song to release from his upcoming album reminds the Georgia-born artist of his gigs in honky tonks in the early years of his career.

Bryan released “Country Song Came On” on Friday (September 6). He said he “started out playing honkytonks for 10 years and this song brings me back to those days,” as he introduced the song and credited writers Dan Alley, Ryan Beaver and Neil Medley.

“Country Song Came On” is one of 14 tracks set to appear on Bryan’s long-awaited studio album, Mind Of A Country Boy. So far, the five-time Entertainer of the Year winner has also released the title track, “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” — which he debuted for the first time live earlier this year on the historic Ryman Auditorium stage — “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” “Country On,” “Closing Time In California” and “Southern and Slow.”

“I’ve been able to take my time and really compile songs for this album,” Bryan previously said in a press release of Mind Of A Country Boy. “If it's a song that I cut two or three years ago, and I still love it, and it still sounds fresh, then I feel like it'll stand the test of time.”
