FEMA has extended the application deadline for federal disaster assistance from Hurricane Ian-related damages.
At the request of state officials, the new deadline is January 12th.
Residents living in 26 Florida counties are eligible to submit for assistance, including Palm Beach County, where a tornado tore through areas of Delray Beach, including King's Point. Several homes were destroyed at the senior community.
Okeechobee County is also included.
The agency says more than $2.69 billion in federal grants, disaster loans and flood insurance payments have been provided to the state and Florida residents after the Ian.
Those seeking assistance can apply online, using the FEMA mobile app or by calling 800-621-3362.
