Willie Nelson Pens 'Letters To America' In New Book

Willie Nelson is set to release a new book titled Letters to America, which will focus on a common theme of patriotism.

Co-written with author and comedian Turk Pipkin, the book will feature a number of letters from the icon about what it means to be a U.S. citizen. As per a press release, the book is a reminder to readers of the "endless promise and continuous obligations of all Americans — to themselves, to one another, and to their nation — to stand with unity, resolve, and faith." Additionally, the book will see the Country Music Hall of Fame member reflect on family, leadership and music as his lyrics will be incorporated in the book in various letters. Nelson and Pipkin previously teamed up on 2006’s The Tao of Willie.

The book also follows the 2015 release of the singer's memoir, It’s a Long Story: My Life, and the September 2020 release of Me and Sister Bobbie: True Tales of the Family Band, which was a team-up with his sister Bobbie Nelson, a member of his touring group for 47 years.

Nelson’s Letters to America will be released via Harper Horizon on June 29.
