Miranda Lambert posted a reel on Instagram on Friday afternoon (April 19), seemingly hinting at something in the works.

Lambert didn’t reveal any specific details on Friday; however, the powerhouse singer-songwriter stirred anticipation among her social media followers with her cryptic caption, “she set it it all on fire…🔥.” The reel included snippets from some of Lambert’s most iconic, career-spanning music videos, including her 2011 anthem “Mama’s Broken Heart,” 2014’s “Little Red Wagon,” her 2014 collaboration with Carrie Underwood, “Somethin’ Bad,” and 2005’s “Kerosene.” It ends with a laugh that can be heard while viewers see a black screen with all-capital text reading: “TO BE CONTINUED…”

“Villain” artist Lily Rose quickly commented “we need more.” Other Instagram users also expressed an eagerness for Lambert to announce additional details. Some wrote: “i have an inkling… we are simply not ready,” “Every hair on the back of my neck just stood at attention,” “uMMMM MAAAAAM what is happening 😭🫶🏼,” and “Whatever it is… WE ARE READY🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” to list a few.

Lambert’s latest full-length album is Palomino, a 15-track collection that arrived in April 2022. Palomino takes listeners on a 36-destination journey and introduces them to unique characters along the way. Lambert said at the time: “My new album ‘Palomino’ is out now. You’ll visit 36 different places as you travel through this record. You’ll meet tons of characters like Katie with a K and the trucker Dwayne. You’ll get acquainted with old friends, like Geraldene and visit places we’ve already been together like Waxahachie. Enjoy the trip y’all.”

Lambert marked Palomino’s release with an exclusive iHeartCountry LIVE show at her bar on Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. That album included “Actin’ Up” — which includes the lyric that inspired the name of Lambert’s Las Vegas residency, Velvet Rodeo — “Geraldene,””Music City Queen” featuring The B-52’s, a cover of Mick Jagger’s “Wandering Spirit,” “If I Was a Cowboy,” “Carousel” and other highlights throughout the track list. Lambert’s more recent releases include “If You Were Mine” with Leon Bridges, a live rendition of “Carousel” from the 2023 ACM Awards, and “Space in My Heart” with Enrique Iglesias.
